What a morning

Geez! What a morning. I had a busy to-do list today.. And on the top was finish the fence. I got one gate up and then a family friend Chris came over and helped me with the last 2 posts and 2 gates.. Thank goodness! Unfortunately it was too cold for the boys to be outside so I thought I would let them play inside with the toys and check on them every few min or so.. This worked well until close to lunch time and then the craziness started. I came in for a check and Isaac and Noah were covered in head to toe eggs and water and so was the floor.. But as annoyed as I was I had to take a photo to laugh at it later and for everyone else to laugh now..

Oh geez what a mess to clean up..

Well tonight was tubbie night anyway so it became tubbie day for the boys and wash the floor day for my kitchen.. Crazy Crazy. But the fence is done.. Yippee only had to sacrifice a few eggs and a wee bit of sanity.. :D

Front view
Sorta long side view!

So one down off my list.. I still need to mow cuz our grass is getting out of control in spots. The boys are currently napping so I figured I would quickly post this for everyone.. Now I am going to go make desert for dinner with Chris (same one that helped with the fence) and Becky and family. Just need to prep my Apple Crisp Yum (recipe below). I hope everyone has a great weekend and I am definitely going to be outside mowing and playing in my newly fenced in yard tomorrow.

APPLE-OATMEAL CRISP
4 c. unpeeled chopped apples
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Vegetable cooking spray
1 c. reg. oats
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Combine apples, sugar and lemon juice. Toss lightly and spoon mixture into a 9 inch square baking dish coated lightly with cooking spray.

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon and salt; stir until combined. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Yield: 9 servings.

P.S. I peel my apples I don't like the skin in my dish..
