It is pretty Quiet
Sitting here in the Quiet I thought I would do a little update. Though my tummy is turning. Eating too much Junk not enough Substance. Last Night I hosted my brother's Birthday party.. It is the same every year pizza, cake and lots and lots of Gaming systems with a basement full of Teenage boys. I say I hosted and not "we" hosted because Nick was at his "No Fluff Just Stuff" Conference for work. So 8-9 big teenage boys with 3 little boys who wanted to be downstairs with the big boys made for interesting Night.
Not too much new going on here. It is pretty Quiet since Noah is off to his first SOLO trip to OMAs for the night. Sounds like he is having a grand ole time and it also emphasizes how much during the day I am focused on him. Helping him Potty and get Drinks and Food, I have found today has been pretty laid back. No one is bugging me to go potty or get something to Drink or eat. :( But I am glad to hear he is doing great there. He is normally our homebody child. If we go anywhere usually 5 min into it you hear his little voice say Go home now? Also he has never been cared for by anyone but me long term. Where Isaac went to Day care and my friends for a bit while we were finishing our time in Platteville, Noah, Adam and Gabriel will be with me only. So I see where he is a little more attached to having mom close by. Today is the last day of the conference so tomorrow I will get some house necessities after Church and be ready to roll with another week.
Nick is still on a stand by mode with the Army. He is in the Army Reserves but they are having issues with his unit. When he picked his unit they were already over staffed so it comes down to either they have to take him by command of the battalion or he gets released from that unit and picks another. Just waiting for them to stop taking their merry little times and get it done.
Isaac is doing great reading. He reads us a book reader a night. His 4k is pretty impressed with him and there was mention of skipping him to first grade instead of going into preschool. He is starting to get a little more testy lately tries to act more grown up than he is so we are having to reinforce that he is still a small boy and needs to act and be respectful like one.
Noah like I said is at Oma's right now. We have a Dentist appt for him coming up since he smacked his mouth pretty good a month or so ago and one of his front teeth are darkening. Hopefully he won't lose it and that it will hang in as a place holder till his big boy tooth comes in. He is pretty much potty trained. There are times when we have an accident I think it is more my fault then his. Where we are out and I forget to get him to a bathroom when I have 3 boys by myself. And if he gets to engrossed in an activity.
Adam is our DRAMA KING!!!! He is Quick because he has to be with brothers but has been playing the DRAMA card a lot lately.. Any little touch or refusal to work his way has him trying to get his way with fake crying and big ole crocodile tears. It really is hard not to laugh at. :D
Gabriel is kicking to High Heaven. I still have a lot of cramping and contracting that I have had since day one. I am just little over 24 weeks now. I have found with this pregnancy time isn't necessarily dragging or racing it is just happening. Must be the crazy busy the other 3 keep me.
ME~ Well me is sorta tied in with Gabriel above but I have a trip to the Oasis Day Spa in our gym coming up for an hour massage and a pedicure. Gotta get that yearly seasonal pedicure. :D So dying for my flip flops hating all the snow that is continuing to shout winter. BRING ON SPRING DANG IT! I need to get my butt in gear and start getting my seeds started for my garden I have it all mapped out how I want to lay it out this year. I have been reading like crazy. Mostly late nights and giving up nap times to clean to read. But I feel like my brain just needed a little something extra. So far this year I have read all 5 of the Troublesome Creek series, the first in the Amish Bakery series, and 9 out of 10 in the Black Jewel series waiting for them to release the 10th March1st. Hopefully the library will have more than 1 copy since I am number 10 on the wait list. I have been looking into a couple new series, the Anita Blake series which I think is around 19 books long, the Melanie Rawn 2 dragon trilogies (6 books) or Kim Harrisons Hallow series 9 books long.
I have a huge to do list of stuff I want to get done at the house. Mostly painting, Trimming the basement out, putting in a ceiling fan in each of the boys' rooms and the master, we have to rescreen one bottom spot of our porch since the wind got it in the wind storm. We do have screws long enough now to put the drawer pulls on the drawers in the kitchen. I need to figure out something to do with my Trash cans. I am thinking I might clear out one cupboard to do under the counter trash and recycling because no matter where I put the cans they are in the way. I want to frame that out too and I know Nick wants to get the porch and the Fence stained this year. Can't wait to get our Grill Put together that the boys and I bought Nick for Christmas. And of Course I want to start PURGING the junk out of our house.
Nick and I have been starting to plan our 7 year wedding anniversary trip for August 2012. Gabriel will be a year old and since he is our last it is time to take a little bit of time to find a break for the 2 of us away from the boys. So we are trying to get childcare lined up first so that things can fall into place from there. My mom has volunteered to be our main and we are just setting up back ups and respits for her. She hasn't had to take on 4 small boys all 6 and under before for a long term. But we are hoping to do a little cruise over to the bahamas and hang out there for a few days and nights at a hotel over there and cruise back.
Well I guess that is all for now not much really new going on. Just a lot of prepping for Isaac to go to kindergarten next year and move my brother from down stairs to upstairs and the 2 little ones downstairs. More or less Getting our Ducklings in order!
