Oh My

Well holy cow I have been really neglecting our personal blog due to time constraints and energy.  Well today is Gabriel's 5 month Birthday.. Really!  Wow time is flying.

Hmm What all has been going on since my last post.

Isaac started Kindergarten.  He is gone all day everyday this is a pretty drastic change for me I am used to having him around all the time.  He is loving school and the bus ride to school.  He is still working on some listening skills and energy while at school but is already an advanced reader and close to being advanced in math too, for writing he is pretty close to excelled he is still transposing letters a bit.  In his class he is the highest reader level child and maybe having to take time in another classroom that has other excelled readers to help keep his interest with other children reading at the same level.  They will get to sit and read to each other and discuss books.  We are not even half way through the year and he is already bringing home level 10 readers for us to read with him at home.  To be considered a proficient reader when leaving kindergarten you are supposed to be at level 3.  hmmmm.. So excited about his skill in academics I hope we can nurture this all the way through his school years.  I just hope now we can get the listening and his TMAD under control.  (TMAD is my own acronym for what I call To Much Attention Disorder)  Isaac has a bit of a struggle transitioning from activities when he is really into what he is doing.  Again another skill to work on.  Other things Isaac is up to is he is in Religious Ed at our Church one night a week and he is in Year 2 for his Let's Play Music.  Like all of our boys they have inherited a great love of music gene.  At home we have started a Family Chore Chart where Isaac and Noah and sometimes Adam will pick chores off the list each night and help mom out.

Noah has had a hard time transitioning with the new baby and then Isaac leaving him everyday for school.  Noah is really wanting to get on the bus and go to school with Isaac.  I hope he has this much want for it when it is his turn.  I am hoping to start with him some reading games and stuff.  He knows his letters but really isn't in any hurry to learn to read.  :(  He is such a sweet guy and I feel sometimes that he is my most looked over child and with that he gets jealous and then starts throwing things out of frustration.  I am hoping that we can start implementing more one on one time with Noah so that he can voice his thoughts to us.  I am also looking into a Toddler Yoga DVD to do Yoga with Noah and Adam at home to help with some of the stress level Noah seems to have.  He loves loves loves Trains still and loves to watch Max and Ruby.  He is still our child who loves food.  Maybe he will be a chef some day.. Then he can come cook for his mama.

Adam has hit the 2s.  He will tell you no and give you a face as fast as he will climb up in your lap demanding love and cuddles.  He is still attached to his Nuk.. Hopefully we can start transitioning him off if it.  He loves to jabber and Love love loves to sing.  He will sing you most of the songs from Let's Play Music.  I would love to start getting him potty trained and may start sometime soon.  I just need to get back into the potty training mindset and energy.

Gabriel.  Well he is 5mts today so in the last 5mts he has had many changes.  He went from his house plant stage to a very interactive little guy who is scared to death of his brothers.  Since they love on him a little too roughly.  He can roll over from his tummy to his back and back to his tummy.  He does like rolling like a log when he has the space and no brothers around.  He can lay and just roll.  Very funny to watch.  We just started him on Rice Cereal to help him learn to pull the food back with his tongue instead of the pushing forward motion babies have.  He is working on sitting supported and loves to jump and play in his exersaucer for a bit.  But then will always revert to wanting to be held and cuddled.  He has recently started sleeping a long stretch and a short stretch each night so on average I am only up 1-2 times depending on the night.  Which is great.

Nick is still doing his thing with work and the Army.  He is hoping for a Team Lead position promotion and raise this coming year and hopefully a promotion to Sergent in the Army.  He is in 2 meet up groups for programming and stuff that meet monthly so it is nice for him to get out and have some Dad time that he is not at work or the Army and able to talk about his computer and programming passion.

Me I am still hanging out at home with the boys.. I have decided that I need to get out more the only children conversations all day and stress is getting to me I really need to focus on mom too.  So I need to start setting a work out date and forcing myself to go instead of just brushing it off.  I am also playing with my camera more and would love to get a few more things for my camera, like a bigger lens and a remote at least.  That will help with taking photos of little ones.  :D  I recently did photos for Kris and Mary and Family and my brother's High school photos.  I do need to get a few more shots for my brother and I need to get Adam's 2 year photos done.  I also joined a book club 3 months ago and just this week finally got to the 3 meeting of the book club and will try to make it to them from now on.  Just little nice nights off for mom to spend with other adults is a must.

Well I think I have pretty much caught you up and hopefully I will try to get on weekly or bi-weekly and keep this puppy up to date more it has just been pretty nutso.. :D  Love you all and have great Holidays.
