Independence Day Fun!
Well we boogied on down to my mom's house in Bagley for the 4th of July weekend. It was nice to see my mom she has been up in Superior for classes for the last 3 weeks. So I got to harass her daily on the phone but I still miss seeing her. So we were down for the traditional 4th of July madness. I unfortunately didn't do nearly the amount I normally do so I was a wee bit lost. I mostly hung out with the kiddos. Normally I walk in the parade with the Auxillary with my mother and Tante, then help serve chicken dinners, and help in the beer tent.. Having wee little ones and being 25 weeks pregnant sorta put me on the side lines this go round.. So instead!
The boys and I went down in our awesome wagon (wish we would have remembered the canopy) to main street to wait for the parade in the morning.. It was sprinkling a bit.. More annoying than anything.. Isaac bounced anxiously waiting for all the goodies the parade floats and vehicles were going to throw out.
The boys waiting for the parade to start...
Nick marching with the Legion Carrying the MIA and POW flag..
My mom carrying the American Flag for the Auxillary.
Ok Back to Isaac waiting for the Candy!! He had a great time picking up all the candy. He was waving and yelling his little heart out at all of them... While Noah chilled in the wagon with his sucker. Once Nick got all the way through the parade he came over and hung out with us.. Isaac was still going strong but Noah was ready for lunch and a nap.
Ahh Sleepy Guy!
After the parade we went and ate lunch and gave Noah a nap. Isaac refused to lay down.. Which made things later pretty interesting.. Once Noah woke up we went to the park and checked out all the new kiddy rides they had this year.
Like the moon bounce.. And boy is it hard to get in and out of those things when you are 25 weeks pregnant. hmmm.
Isaac loved bouncing and Noah was a wee bit unsteady.
Next was the swings but that was really a no go.. too fast and scarey.
But he liked the little farris wheel. After we were going to get ice cream as a family but Mr. No Nap was in a baaaaaaad mood. So Nick and he went back to the house while Noah and I went down to the general store for some yummy Ice cream.
Mmmmmm yummy goodness.
Later on Nick had beer tent duty while the boys and I hung out. Noah went to bed and missed the fireworks but Nick, Isaac and I enjoyed them.. Little 3 year old with out a nap made for a giggly little firework watcher.. It was pretty hilarious.. Every time one was lit off and exploded he would giggle! Pretty Darn funny but it was a nice weekend. We got home Sunday afternoon and cleaned up the house. 4.5 days home and then we are heading back for my cousin Danielle's wedding this weekend. Another busy weekend ahead.
