Christmas oh my.

We headed out Wed just before the ice storm so that we would get to My Mom's for the holidays safe and sound. Close to the end of our drive the roads got really slick. So it was a slow drive down but we got there safe and sound. We decided to head out early on a last minute idea to beat the storm so I was throwing clothes in to suitcases, along with toiletries and diapers, wipes, chonies, the presents and everything we would need for the trip in a very quick 30 min and to my surprise we got everything we need packed that we needed.

Christmas eve was our traditional Open presents at my Omas (German for Grandma) and then we went back to my mom's and opened presents there. Wow did everyone get some really nice stuff. My brother Kory got and ipod touch. My brother Kody got a lot of great Lego sets. I got my new NIKON S640 ( thank you mom) and have got some great great shots. Nick got some great wine and batteries(rechargeable). And my mom got an MP3 player and other goodies, My step dad will be the guy you see with the metal detector this summer. And my boys made out like bandits. New Bike for Isaac, New big trucks for Noah and Adam got a great ball popper. So much fun.

Christmas day we went to my Aunt Julies for dinner and Games of course.. I love spending game time with my family and can't wait till my boys are big enough for more adult board games.. We are starting them early with Candy land, Shoots and ladders, Don't break the ice and more (we got them for Christmas). So hopefully they will love to play games when they are older. The games were great. 2 tables going on.. Ours (my oma, brother Kody, step dad Bill and I) some how chose a game that took about 4+ hours.. It is Dominos but you start at double 15 and go down to double zero so it is like 16 games of dominoes. Wow fun but long.

Day after Christmas we headed out to Nicks parents and we got to empty out all the presents that were left in our van but that was only free for a little bit. We were pretty packed all the way home.. Everyone there got some great stuff too. The boys got Tons and Tons of toys. Nick and I got stuff we wanted and Kim got his new shopvac and Linda got her new popcorn popper. Kris, Mary, Troy and Rylee also left with a packed Jeep. I really enjoyed seeing everyone get their stuff and open presents. I am glad that everyone got what they wanted and loved it.

It was a slow drive home due to weather but we got all the stuff unpacked and now I need a ton of storage systems. My house is being taken over by toys. I think I may pack up some of the older toys and rotate them out in a few months. But then again it may be 6 mts or so till they come out again since my boys are going to be having birthdays soon. Maybe we can get storage units for their birthdays. lol. Well I love love loved spending time with my family and I was super excited that my SIL and Rylee came to Christmas. It was great seeing everyone. And I really wish that my mom and Aunt could come up for New Years and we could do games but I don't see that happening. When we got home we had a few gifts still to open from us and Isaac's god parents.

As for us we are cleaning and getting back into the comfort of being home from the holidays. Well Have a great end of the year and See you in 2010!
