Happy 5th Birthday Isaac!

Well 1/2 a decade ago at 1:50 in the morning Isaac came screaming into our world and didn't stop till he had his first pacifier. LOL. The things you remember. This was such a crazy time in our world. Nick had been gone since Dec 1st training to be shipped to Iraq. He got to come home on a 96. We flew him home and picked him up Wed then went out to eat at my favorite pizza place in Platteville (UNOS). Thursday we had to run to the Doctors for a standard appointment though it was slick and there was SNOW everywhere. We drove down to Dubuque and ended up with a No Stress Test on Isaac because he was so cuddly happy where he was he wasn't moving and giving them the correct responses. So they decided to slowly induce me that night.

We Checked in to Finley Hospital at 7pm and got the first preparation pill at 9pm of course nothing happens. Does anything every really happen with those? So our doctor came in to talk to me we weren't in labor she was gonna give me another prep pill at 11pm and then in the morning at 6 or 7 start on pitocin and told me to get a good nights sleep. So 11pm new pill, sat up talking to Nick because seriously I only had ~96 hours of face time why waste it sleeping. At 11:45pm my Water broke. What a weird feeling it sounded internally like someone threw a water balloon at me and it exploded with the pop sound. Took them 7 liptmus tests to realize that I didn't just wet myself that it was in fact my water. The next 2 hours was an insane blur. I of course caved and asked for an epidural so they gave me saline and when it was time to get my epidural they told me that I was too far and sent the anesthesiologist away. :(

Nothing happening yet just reading a magazine and chatting with Nick

But at 1:50am on Friday March 31st our sweet Isaac Jacob Klauer was born weighing 7# 6oz and 19inches long. Nick and I spent the whole day loving on him and hanging out with each other. Not very much sleeping going on and then come Saturday morning I asked to be released early so that I could go home with Nick as he prepared to get back on a plane and head back to California. What an insane 96 hours.
