Update!
Hmm Well Again another long stretch and again I will probably say I am going to try to keep this up.. I know I am not really sticking to it.. But things are busy busy and el nutso most days that I don't have time to get things up and running. hmm What is new..
In January I turned 31. Golden birthday. I got a new lens for my camera and have been having a blast trying to figure it out. Nick took me out for my birthday at a fancy smancy restaurant. It was fun but weird to be at such a nice establishment. Mostly because we are at very family friendly places that are so noisy and this place was so dimmly lit and very quiet that you could actually hear yourself think.. CRAZY but fun. I have been getting things around for our 7th Anniversary trip. We have saved over the years very little at a time but saved non the less to take a 7 year trip because we knew it would be the perfect time to reconnect after having our children. We wanted 4 kiddos close together and so for the last 7 years I have been either nursing or pregnant so it will be nice to have my body back to myself. So we are going to spend some time in Florida and in the Bahamas. We will be gone from the 1st-9th of August and leaving our sweet boys with their Oma. Might need to get her a vacation afterwards.. Maybe at a spa for the weekend. That will help her unwind after our sweeties spend the week with her.. :D In May we are planning to get together with Nick's parents and brother's family for a Family Vacation. Another fun time to look forward too. For Lent I am doing a modification of 40 bags in 40 days. I am going to go through and organize and get rid of stuff like in the 40 bags in 40 days but since our house really isn't that big I am not sure I will actually get 40 bags so I have modified it to organizing and storing bags included. Example of storing bags would be the kid's clothes next sizes to be stored in better bags. I have finished my first Spanish Class and start Spanish 2 for fun and leisure next Tuesday.
Nick~ He is still doing a great job at Alliant Energy and in the Army. He is planning on taking the SGTs course here sometime soon for the Army and hopefully get moved up in rank. We are still unsure if he will or will not deploy this year but I am gearing up my mind that he will since that is the rumor and I would rather them tell me he is staying then not prepare myself.
For a couple years now Nick has been asking for a new laptop for at home, mostly I think this is because the iMac is one getting old and two always under a pile of my stuff or kids stuff. So this year he got a new apple air. He is happy about it and I enjoy being able to sit in with the kids and blog for the Review blog or even here. For Valentine's day (a holiday Nick hates by the way) Nick did a sweet web love note. So techy.. :D here is the link... Katrina's 2012 Valentines
Isaac~ Is still in the throws of his first year of all day school. We are still working out some quirks in the system. He is looking forward to his 6th birthday party. He wants to have a PIRATE Party.. So I have already been researching and getting things organized. Hopefully I haven't bit off more than I can chew. We ended up taking Isaac out of LPM mostly due to his hand coordination he was having a hard time with hand strength and coordination so he would get frustrated and not want to practice or pay attention in class.
Noah~ Is our busy 4 year old. We are trying to work with him on his letters for writing and reading. Also trying to get him on a more scheduled meal schedule. He has always been a grazer and then he wouldn't eat Dinner which would leave him ravenous in the morning. Since he will be starting 4k next year we are trying to get him to eat more on a schedule or he is going to be starving through school.
Adam~ Adam is now 2 and a few months old. He loves to go sit on the potty after his diaper is off during the changing process but he hasn't gotten to the point of knowing to go before he goes in the diaper. But he is still pretty little for a boy to potty train so we are just letting him slowly figure it out. Gonna work with him closer to 3 like I did with the other boys. Maybe while he is visiting with my mom in August he will potty train.. lol
Gabriel~ He is 8mts and scooting all over the place. He hasn't tried real hands and knees crawling but he is still insanely mobile. He loves to sit and play with toys. He has 7 teeth and loves sweet potatoes with rice and spices for dinner. He is our only lil guy who loves to swaddle. He gets so excited at night when you are wrapping him up in his fuzzy blanket, as if he has been waiting all day for you to cuddle him up for bed time. lol
Well that is about all that has been going on around here!!! Hopefully (lol) I will get to keep up more with my blogs now that we have a more mobile source to type them on. I really do like this new laptop but for me it is definitely just something I am using to blog.
