Turning into a Monthly Edition
Lol Ok So This blog is turning into a monthly edition update.
What's New What's New.
Let's Start with the Baby this go round.
GABRIEL~
Well he just turned 9 months old. Holy Cow 9 Months. Maybe it seems more sad knowing he is our last little cuddle buggie. He has pretty much mastered the Low crawl. He can do the normal crawl but prefers the speed of his low crawl, especially when a door has opened (ex. the frig) and he is wanting to check it out before mom closes it. He is pulling up on stuff so we had to drop his crib mattress level to the lowest. He is pulling up on everything and loves to get up on his feet and hands in a gorilla looking walk. He loves finger foods, and any foods off moms plate especially when he can get a big ole hand full before mom stops him. Still not interested in the sippy. As he grows out of his clothes I have been saving the ones I love for a blanket and handing down the rest for Nick's Friend Jordan and family who now have twin boys. Gabriel has his 9 month check up tomorrow and I am thinking that they will be telling us he is too big for his baby infant carrier and that it is time to move him to the convertible rear facing car seat. Which will add a new juggling act to getting 4 kids out of the car and into where we are going if he is no longer confined. But our seat is old and on the brink of expiring anyway since they are only good for 6 year and we got it with Isaac.
ADAM~
Well this sweet 2 year old has now decided to be the only boy we have had so far to this age to break down regularly in loud fits. I think this has been instigated by the fact that we are trying to get the nuk to nap and bed time only and the fact that while Isaac is away at school him and Noah butt heads ALL the time. We are blessed to have a GAZILLION Toys but those 2 will fight continuously over the same exact one. He is a major out door lover. I am not sure if this is a character trait or if this is the desire to get out of the house from the winter "cabin fever" but he will try to sneak out all the time even if he is only wearing his diaper. If he is dragged back inside due to mud he loves to watch a show. He is absolutely smitten with Max and Ruby and the Bubble Guppie show.
NOAH~
As much as he doesn't want to nap he is still in need of a little one at least during the day. He is still very very quiet but he does speak. I think he is just our quiet child. I am a little nervous for next year he is still a major stranger danger guy. So we will see how it goes. He seems really excited to start school in the fall. He wants to get on the bus with Isaac. I think we are signing him up for the Afternoon classes. He loves to swing out on the swings and play outside. Not nearly as much as Adam but he does like being outside.
ISAAC~
Well he is enjoying school and since we have started the responsibility chart system he has enjoyed earning money. He is currently saving up for Pokemon cards. His birthday is just around the corner and we are having a pirate party. He is excited.. We are putting together a Pirate Plank Jumping Contest, a Pin the Jolly Roger on the Ship, a decorate your Pirate vest station and a Pirate Treasure Hunt to finish off the day. Very Exciting since it is our first Party for our kiddos that have outside of the family kiddos coming. I think he is getting some games for his leap pad I do need to get him a couple of clothes items. He is in need of a sweatshirt, a pair of khakis, some jeans and shorts and some night clothes for summer and winter but otherwise I think I have him pretty much outfitted for size 6.
NICK~
Well Nick is busy busy. And just got signed up for a Sgt course so he will be Gone for Isaac's birthday and Easter but he needs to do this to bump up in rank for the Army. Especially with a deployment looming on the storm front. Very busy fiscal year for his unit getting ready for a deployment. With his job at Alliant he got a nice bonus this year that he used to get a new laptop. I have been saving like crazy for other things and he has been very patient about me saying no not right now so with his bonus money he got to spend it all on a new Macbook Air (Apple of Course). I like it because during the day when he is at work I can work on blog stuff out with the boys instead of being tucked away on the computer in the dining room. This will be nice for sitting outside while the kids play in the yard.
ME~
Well that leaves me.. What have I been up too.. Well I have been pinching pennies like crazy for the last 2 years so that we could go on a 7 year anniversary trip. We are doing 9 days. We are leaving August 1st for Orlando hanging out there and doing 2 days of disney then driving to Ft Lauderdale to hop on a cruise ship over to the Bahamas and then staying in there for 4 days 3 nights then cruising back to Ft Lauderdale and then driving back up to Orlando for a couple more days of Disney and we are going to be staying at the military hotel, Shades of Green. So it will be neat to check that out for future trips that include the kids. It will be fun to have a romantic Disney days. Get to ride the big rides and take time through Epcot which is definitely more geared to Adults. Well between that and a Klauer Family vacation and our 1/2 a cow for our freezer and my Hearts at home conference and our driveway money and our passport money and our shed money.. I have been SAVING SAVING SAVING.. and now I feel like I am SPENDING SPENDING SPENDING since all my little pots are at Goal balance to buy the item.. It is nice to be buying stuff with CASH straight out and not having a balance looming over your head.
Other stuff for me is I have 2 more classes and I will be done with Spanish 2 for Fun and Leisure. My friend Anita and I have been freezer cooking once a week to get a rotating stock pile so that is fun. This week we made Hawaiian chicken Crock pot meal, Chicken Enchilladas, and Garlic and herb parmesan Chicken breasts. Can you tell Chicken breasts were on sale for $1.79 a pound. so each of us got 10 meals/meal parts (since we still need to do a starch and veggie for some) out of our cooking day which ended up being $3.30 a meal. NOT BAD! Love Freezer cooking and we theme the day according to the sale items.
Anita and I also spent last Saturday together in Normal Il for a Hearts at Home Conference. It was a great trip we left at 4 am and got home at 10 pm it was a LONG and HOT day but we had a great Experience. Read here about our trip from Anita's Blog she summed it up perfectly. We are planning on getting more people to go with us next year and staying the 2 days of the conference.. I guess the best thing I took away was that there are no perfect moms and perfectly clean homes with children that I need to breathe and pray and just let the rest go.
I am still working on my 40 bags in 40 days I am a few days behind but a good cleaning of the spare bedroom closet and the bathroom under the sink should put me a head again. Then I will finish up with the Downstairs cellar/pantry area.
Well there is our Update. :D Busy Busy..
