Missed April and May

Honestly this year is going by to fast.  April and May seem to be a Blur.  May was insane.  I don't think we had a weekend off at all that Month.

We started off April with Nick going to Sgt Course for the Army.  So he was gone for 2 weeks. When he got home he had 5 days before a 4 day driller.  So we decided to make our own laundry soap.  Here is the recipe.

Laundry Soap Recipe ....... 4 lb. 12 oz. box of Borax
4 lb. box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
3 lb. 7 oz. box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
2 bars of Fels-Naptha soap (or Zote)
3 lb. container of Oxy Clean, or two of the smaller ones, to make about 3lbs
1 container Purex Fabric Softener Crystals

Personally I love the smell and it cleans great but best of all it doesn't irritate any of our sensitive skin.

The first weekend in May we did a Klauer Family trip.  This included Nick's Brother Kris and family and Nick's Mom and Dad. We stayed up at Three Bears Lodge in Warrens WI.  The place we rented was awesome and with Mary and I splitting up the meals we had a great time with hardly any food prep since it was already done.

We went to the water park and hung out around the lodge.  Sadly it was wet and cold out so we didn't get much out door time and no Smore's :(

The 2nd weekend was Mother's Day weekend.  Saturday we did a trip to the Farmer's Market and the Children's Museum.  Then we tried  a drive in Movie but Ended up with a Sick Noah so we got out of there pretty quickly

The 3rd weekend Nick had a Guy's weekend with his buddies and I drove 3.5 hours north to visit our friend Kristin and her boys.  Kristin's mom was last years Auxillary President for Wisconsin.  So we went to her Testimonial.

The 4th weekend my Eldest younger brother graduated High School.  With 13 years between us it was crazy to have him Graduate High School.  Makes me feel really old.  But with this great accomplishment we survived 4 years with a teenager living with us.  The house now feels a little empty with out his presence even if he was always holed up in his room studying or playing his computer.

Our Battle to the FINISH!!
The day after Graduation I went and picked up my starter plants from a local farm and we got them in the ground.  Woo hoo. We also moved the desk out of the dining room into Kody's old room and now our Computer/guest room.  We did this so we could paint the following day.

Since this weekend included Memorial Day.  Memorial Day, Anita and I painted the Kitchen and dinning room.  It is now a Toasted Almond Color with a Burgundy Wine Accent walls.

And that my Dearies Concluded May.  See what I said.. INSANITY. BUSY BUSY BUSY

And the forecast for the next few months are not much calmer.  We are finishing up this year of school for Isaac and then Pretty much July will be sucked up with Nick gone for AT.  So.  Busy Busy still.  Personally I am looking forward to the first 9 days of August.  That is our 7 year anniversary trip.

Well Lots of Love
Katrina And Family.
