Menu board, Paint and a Shed

We had a pretty busy weekend this past weekend.

I decided it was time to get rid of that Ugly Peachy Beach Color in Our Bedroom.  Because someday I would love to get a king sized bed which means all new bedding I decided on a neutral.  I did a Dark Grey for an accent wall and the shelf wall then the rest is Light Grey.  It looks fabulous with our blue bedding right now and our dark furniture.  I am also thinking a photo session for Nick and I for some nice photos for over our bed.  I have a few ideas in mind that I will be doing myself.  I just need to get some black Backdrop.
My Madtown Bestie Mama Anita Taping off the edges....

The Dark Grey is starting to Cover the Ugly Peach.

The Light Grey and Dark Grey Contrast

Dry Paint DRY!!!!!
Our new Colors.  Still working on putting stuff back in but it is so Clean.. :D

I also decided that it was time to paint the downstairs bathroom a soothing blue.  And boy did it turn out amazing.  I just love the color.  It isn't too light and not too dark for that little bathroom.  I think I am going to start moving some of my stuff into it.  With Nick's looming Deployment I see my long tubbies going out the window.  And at the end of the night I am so spent I am just ready to lay down so using the down stairs bathroom for a quick clean up and hair and teeth brush would be great.  I want to put some pictures up in there too.  Really get it nice and cozy.

While I was painting Nick was starting the Shed.  He finished it up on Sunday he needed a bit of help holding some pieces..

My other project on Saturday was a Menu Board for my frig.

 I love this board.

Supplies:
Hot glue gun
12x12 scrap book paper- 2 sheets for the background
Extra card stock in your colors
a Crayon box or some sort of thin box.  I used my Mabel Labels Box.
7 Clothes Pins
an 11x14 Photo frame.
Strips of magnetic tape
Hot Glue
Command Strips
Regular white Elmer's Glue

I used the board inside the photo frame to mount my scrapbook background too.  Then I put it in the frame then I put magnetic strip tape all around the back so it would attach to my frig.  I used clothes pins for the days of the week I modpodged ( my homemade recipe 1 part elmers glue to 1 part water). Scrapbook paper to them then used my gold pen to label the days of the week.  Then I Hot glued them to the frame and I used command strips to put my meal card box on.  Mostly because it was pretty heavy.    On to the meal cards.  I laminated mine just for extra protection.  I also color coded.  The Orange-yellow color is for Chicken Dishes, Green is for Beef Dishes, Blue is Meatless Dish (these will come in handy during lent.. Now I just need some recipes), Pink is Crockpot recipe, Brown is Leftover/new recipe (the new recipe after being approved by my panel of men gets its own card) and then Purple is everything else (like eat out night or delivery) .  On the Cards the name of the dinner is on the front and on the back is a list of ingredients.  That way when I pick out the meals I can then immediately flip it over get a quick look at my ingredients and put them on my shopping list if I don't have them.

Then I also put up a new flag for our house.  I actually did this on Tuesday but Doesn't it look great.

Other things in our world are that Isaac is in First Grade, and Noah started 4K.  Gabriel pretty much is a velcro baby he spends most of his day in the sling.  And Adam is enjoying the quiet in the morning.
